Position Purpose:
This position provides leadership and technical support for various business units utilizing the S4 HANA Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Logistics platforms. It involves designing and implementing business functionalities, establishing standards, and directing enhancements across the enterprise.
This role supports projects, enhancements, development, documentation, testing, training, go-live, and ongoing activities within the S4 HANA SCM and Logistics platforms. Ensures best practices align with company strategy and works with the digital team to ensure end-user support during and after large-scale upgrades.
Key Job Activities:
1. Develop and analyze IT processes, identify problems, and propose solutions clearly and concisely.
2. Collaborate with business counterparts to deliver prioritized solutions based on best practices and provide expertise in project estimation and financial analysis.
3. Lead or participate in solution definition, project execution, and technology implementations, introducing process improvements.
4. Manage configuration in S4 HANA modules such as SD, MM, IM, PM, and WM/EWM, providing subject matter expertise.
5. Validate functional testing and assist in User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
6. Define systems strategy, develop requirements, design prototypes, and support testing and training.
7. Participate in team meetings and initiatives to review issues and discuss new trends or projects.
8. Manage complex assignments and projects.
9. Communicate effectively with executives and work with on-shore/off-shore teams across multiple time zones.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional activities based on specific applications supported:
* Establish standards and requirements for enterprise-wide processes related to Collect to Dispose.
* Support departments utilizing S4 HANA and other platforms like Descartes Route Planning.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
* Over 10 years of IT experience in a corporate environment.
* Extensive SAP architecture experience, preferably in reverse logistics.
* Experience in process reengineering and strategic architecture.
* Experience managing large projects and serving as a Project Manager.
* Additional experience with customer systems, financial systems, logistics, warehousing, or telephony is a plus.
* Multilingual skills are a plus.
* SAP Functional and/or Technical Solution Certification is beneficial.
Technical Expertise:
* Deep knowledge of S/4 HANA modules, SAP Fiori, ABAP, and SAP Cloud Platform.
* Expertise in Workflow, BAPIs, Enhancements, and integrations.
Licenses and Competencies:
* Ability to identify root causes and develop solutions for complex problems.
* Strong communication skills for effective presentation and collaboration.
* Ability to generate new ideas and develop innovative approaches.
* Guidance and leadership skills to support team and project goals.
* Adaptability to changing environments and priorities.
* Effective time and resource management skills.
Certifications:
SAP Certification preferred.
