Description
Join Council as our Biosecurity Weeds Officer and help protect our region’s environment and community. In this role, you’ll monitor and inspect private, Council-managed, and public authority land to enforce the Biosecurity Act, manage widespread weeds, and identify new incursions early.
You’ll also work closely with landowners to provide advice on priority weed management, respond to customer requests, and support Council’s education and awareness activities to strengthen community understanding of biosecurity.
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)
- A weekly salary between $1,416 – $1,594 dependent upon skills and experience, plus 12% superannuation
- Work a 9-day fortnight, based on a 35-hour working week
