Your Impact
We have an exciting opportunity for Microbiologist to join our iconic Yatala brewery. In this role you provide microbiological testing, hygiene and GMP support services to sites in accordance with the approved microbiological standards and work practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct microbiological analysis across brewing and packaging as per HACCP/Quality Plan
Provide accurate and timely reporting to ensure brewery personnel are aware of microbiological performance in the brewery
Provide trending of microbiological results to aid in problem resolution
Educate the line teams on the risks associated with poor micro control, micro hazards and actions required to be taken in the event of unacceptable micro loading
Manage interactions with external Suppliers (cleaning contractors, chemical service supplier) and internal stakeholders (Brewing, Packaging, Engineering, etc. ) in relation to implementing and optimizing hygiene standards and work practices to prevent microbiological contamination within the brewery
Carry out required maintenance as per instrumentation maintenance schedule
About You
Bachelor's degree in Science (Microbiology) or Food Science
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025: 2005
Knowledge of hygiene principles in manufacturing
Understanding of food safety programs (HACCP)
Ability to work autonomously
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
