We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil construction company with a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects across the region. They deliver work in drainage, roading, earthworks, and three-waters—and are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join their commercial team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects ranging from $1M to $30M.
This includes:
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
* Completing quantity take-offs
* Sourcing subcontractor and supplier pricing
* Preparing detailed estimates, cost schedules, and tender submissions
* Working with project managers and engineers to finalize bids
* Supporting post-tender clarifications and variations
What You'll Bring
* Experience estimating civil construction projects
* Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roading, or three-waters
* Good commercial and numerical skills
* Confident analysing drawings and doing take-offs
* Strong communication and the ability to meet tender deadlines
* NZ experience or good knowledge of local standards/contracts
