We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our outstanding faculty and to inspire our students through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.
There is a responsibility for planning relevant and engaging learning experiences, demonstrating a high level of curriculum knowledge, using appropriate assessment tools and recording student progress through the School’s online management system (SEQTA). The position requires applicants to have the ability to develop inclusive learning environments, foster positive relationships and to communicate with staff, students and parents in a timely and respectful manner.
It is expected that the successful applicants will attend camps, staff meetings, curriculum evenings and parent/teacher interviews. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing immediately. Relocation assistance will be offered to the right candidate. Job Requirements: Key Priorities
* Outstanding experience in teaching 7-12 Mathematics
* Ability to teach ATAR Methods and Specialist Mathematics is desired
* Have a sound understanding of the current curriculum
* Experience in differentiating for students of varying ability
* Ability to build relationships with students
* Excellent class management
* Have good skills utilising and facilitating the use of technology in the classroom;
* Understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies
* A commitment to Pastoral Care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students
* An ongoing commitment to professional learning,
* A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators
* A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community
* An exemplary record of professional conduct including maintaining appropriate confidentiality
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across a broad range of audiences
* Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check and TRBWA registration
