Asset Data Analyst

Are you passionate about data and systems that make a difference? The City of Karratha is looking for an Asset Data Analyst to join our Financial Services team on a casual basis.
As the Asset Data Analyst you'II be responsible for the stewardship, integrity and enhancement of the City's asset information, including asset master data, system configuration elements and reporting outputs. The position ensures asset data is accurate, complete, consistent and fit-for-purpose to support operational decision-making, long term asset planning, valuation and statutory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* To be a subject matter expert for Asset data specifications to enable integration into CiA Enterprise Asset Module.
* Provide specialist support and guidance to users to improve system adoption, data quality and "right-first-time" asset information capture.
* Manage and enhance the City's asset data and asset management information systems through data quality controls, cleansing programs, governance documentation and ongoing improvement initiatives.
* Provide technical analysis, dashboards and reporting to support the development and review of asset management plans, processes and long-term capital works programs.
What You'll Bring
* Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Asset Management, Engineering or Building facets, (preferable CiA EAM and/or Brightly system utilisation).
* Well-developed skills in using asset management systems, predictive modelling applications, GIS and data querying to support asset management.
* Demonstrated ability in asset data analysis including use of asset management systems, GIS and data querying/reporting techniques.
* Demonstrated skills in designing and running data quality controls (validation rules, exception reporting, periodic checks) and implementing remediation actions.
* Ability to document data definitions, business rules, processes and user guidance material to support consistent practice across the organisation.
* Knowledge of whole of life costing and cost / benefit analysis techniques.
* Skills and knowledge in the collection and analysis of asset information.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualification in Asset Management, Engineering and or Equivalent experience in a similar technical role for more than 2 years is desirable.
* C Class drivers license
* Current National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
