Family Violence Practitioner Job Description
The Victims Assistance Program is a vital support service that empowers individuals to navigate the impact of crime. The role encompasses direct victim support, building capacity in Family Violence initiatives, and engaging with the community through education and outreach activities.
Key responsibilities include providing tailored information and advice to victim survivors, facilitating their journey through the justice system, and referring them to specialist services as needed. Collaboration with other victim services, including those focused on Family Violence and Sexual Assault, is also essential.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE MEASURED BY THE LEVEL OF EMPOWERMENT VICTIM SURVIVORS FEEL, RECEIVING A PERSONALIZED SERVICE THAT ACCORDS WITH THEIR GOALS, AND A FOCUS ON THEIR SAFETY AND RECOVERY.
A valid driver's license is required as you will be providing both remote and on-site services to your clients.
