Key Roles and Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This position is a high-performing team within the corporate services function. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead key corporate accountability documents, including the Corporate Plan, Annual Report, and Performance Statements.

Main Responsibilities:

* Develop and Deliver Strategic Documents: Lead the development and delivery of key planning and performance documents.
* Provide Strategic Advice: Provide strategic advice and high-quality briefs to senior executives and governance committees.
* Manage Relationships: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including oversight of audit and compliance activities.
* Innovate Performance Measurement: Drive innovation in performance measurement and reporting frameworks.
* Sustain Integrity and Accountability: Support the agency's response to ANAO audits and contribute to a culture of integrity and accountability.
* Lead and Mentor Staff: Lead and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.


Required Skills and Qualifications

About You:

* Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience in corporate planning, governance, or performance reporting.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills, particularly in preparing executive briefs and strategic documents.
* Sound Knowledge of Governance: A sound understanding of the PGPA Act and its application in a Commonwealth context.
* Build Productive Relationships: Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Adaptability: Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities.
* Cultural Safety: Commitment to cultural safety and working respectfully with diverse communities.
