This role offers a unique chance to work as a Telehealth Nurse, providing expert guidance and support to clients over the phone. As a part-time or full-time Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of a global team delivering essential public services.
You will be responsible for triaging and assessing callers, actively listening and extracting vital clinical information, documenting interactions using a secure digital system, offering guidance using clinical pathways and evidence-based tools, and referring or transferring to relevant services when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have unrestricted AHPRA registration for a minimum of 3 years, at least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years, recent experience in a complex primary health, acute medical, emergency department, or rural/remote setting, confidence working autonomously and thinking on your feet in high-pressure situations, and comfort using computer systems, including telehealth platforms, databases, and digital communication tools.
The ideal candidate will have a home setup with reliable Wi-Fi, strong mobile reception, and a quiet space for confidential calls. They will also enjoy making a difference in a flexible, home-based environment.
