About the Role
Unidex Healthcare is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Tamworth.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting participants with:
* Supporting participants with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, or neurological conditions
* Personal care and daily living support
* Community access and social engagement
* Capacity building and independence development
* Manual handling and mobility support
* Medication assistance (where applicable)
* Behavioural and complex care support (where applicable)
* Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals
About You
We are seeking individuals who are:
* Compassionate, reliable and professional
* Experienced supporting participants with disabilities
* Comfortable working within complex care environments (desirable)
* Strong communicators with a participant-centred approach
* Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts
Pay & Incentives: Above-award pay rates based on role complexity
Skills & Experiences
Skills & Experiences:
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (essential)
* Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
* Current NDIS Worker Screen check
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Australian Driver Licence
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* NDIS Effective Communication Module
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
* Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
