Since stepping into the role, our Managing Director has grown the practice organically by 40 per cent and is now focused on the next phase of growth. This position will play a key role in that journey.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for a senior accountant with aspiration to step into a leadership role within a growing tax and business services practice and take ownership of a significant, high‐quality client portfolio.
You will oversee a portfolio of annual tax and business services fees, supported by an Assistant Client Manager, a Senior Accountant, and a team of three offshore accountants.
Your focus will be on leading client relationships, delivering strategic advice, and helping drive the continued growth of the practice.
What You Will Do
Lead and grow a portfolio of high net worth family groups, SMSF clients, and SMEs
Act as the primary relationship manager and trusted adviser to your clients
Build long‐term client relationships based on trust, empathy, and a genuine understanding of each client's objectives
Identify advisory opportunities and expand services across the existing client base
Work closely with the Assistant Client Manager and broader team to ensure high‐quality service delivery
Partner with the Managing Director on business development initiatives and practice strategy
Who We Are Looking For
You are commercially minded, client focused, and confident working with successful clients on complex tax and business matters. You combine strong technical capability with the interpersonal skills to build trust, communicate clearly, and deliver real value.
The ideal candidate will have:
CA or CPA qualification
At least six years of experience in public practice
Experience managing a client portfolio, ideally including high net worth individuals, family groups, and SMEs
Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business owners and private family groups
A strategic mindset and the ability to identify, frame, and present practical solutions across a broad range of advisory matters
Strong commercial acumen and a genuine interest in contributing to practice growth
High emotional intelligence and a client service mindset
Existing client relationships to bring across will be highly regarded, but are not essential
