Of course, along with brands, and great assets, the other vital ingredient in our recipe for success is – GREAT PEOPLE, and that is where you come in!The RoleThe Safety Advisor at Patties Food Group plays a pivotal role within the business to ensure develop, implement and maintain Work Health and Safety policies and manage best practices to ensure a healthy and safety workplace for all employees. Based in Bairnsdale and reporting to the Group Safety & OHS Manager, this role will focus on the following duties and responsibilities but will not be limited to; Work responsibly to enhance personal and workplace safety, demonstrating leadership in safety awareness.Collaborate with the Head of Safety and OHS to create, implement, and review Safe Work Procedures and Risk Assessments.Perform site-based audits and safety walks to identify and address risks.Focus on reducing Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and Medical Treatment Injuries (MTI) and their severity.Act as the RTW Coordinator, handling workers' compensation and return-to-work processes for injured employees.Present safety briefs to site management teams, providing updates on safety statistics and actions.Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance with mandatory regulations and safety standards.Coach employees and managers on health and safety initiatives and ensure appropriate training and resources for first aid.The PersonThe successful applicant for the role will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the FMCG industry as well as;A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Be able to contribute to a positive and professional team environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel).Ability to influence and make decisions.Mechanical aptitude or prior manufacturing experience would be desirable.What we offer youAt Patties Food Group we are passionate about our people, brands and culture!
