Studio AirCuts is a mobile hairdressing service built on dignity, care, and accessibility. We bring professional hair services directly to clients in their homes, including NDIS participants, seniors, busy families, and anyone who prefers or requires in‑home support.
We are expanding and looking for warm, reliable, professional subcontractors who take pride in their craft and love making people feel confident and cared for.
About the Role
As a subcontractor with Studio AirCuts, you will provide mobile hairdressing services across Brisbane using our time‑based service packages. You'll work independently, choose your availability, and deliver high‑quality, emotionally safe experiences for every client.
This role is perfect for hairdressers who want flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful client connections - without the pressure of salon targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional mobile hairdressing services (cuts, styling, grooming) in clients' homes
* Deliver services aligned with Studio AirCuts' values of dignity, care, and inclusivity
* Work with a diverse range of clients, including NDIS participants and individuals with additional needs
* Maintain high hygiene and safety standards
* Communicate professionally and reliably using our booking system
* Manage your own tools, equipment, and vehicle
* Follow Studio AirCuts' policies, service standards, and client‑care guidelines
* Maintain confidentiality and respect client boundaries at all times
What We're Looking For
* Qualified hairdresser or barber with experience in cutting and styling
* Warm, patient, and professional communication style
* Reliable, punctual, and organised
* Comfortable working independently and travelling between appointments
* Ability to create a calm, supportive environment for clients
* Respectful of diverse needs, backgrounds, and abilities
* Passionate about restoring confidence and dignity through personal care
Requirements
* ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
* Your own vehicle
* Your own hairdressing tools and consumables
* Public Liability Insurance (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Police Check
* NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
* Working With Children Check (if required)
* Smartphone for bookings and communication
