Description
* Process and approve purchase requisitions in line with policy and delegated authority
* Issue and manage purchase orders using Ci Anywhere
* Ensure compliance with WA Local Government legislation and internal purchasing protocols
* Assess and onboard new suppliers, maintaining accurate supplier records
* Maintain purchasing catalogues and reference materials
* Monitor purchasing data integrity and system controls
* Produce regular purchasing and compliance reports
* Provide guidance and training to staff on purchasing systems and procedures
* Support supplier performance monitoring and cost control initiatives
* Assist in the development and improvement of purchasing policies and procedures
Profile
A successful Purchasing Officer should have:
* Formal qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
* Experience using TechOne ERP within purchasing
* Experience in the public sector or a similar industry.
* Knowledge of procurement policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in relevant procurement and supply chain management systems.
