Your new role
* Lead and develop a team of community engagement professionals.
* Oversee engagement planning for infrastructure and maintenance projects.
* Review engagement approaches and give technical advice.
* Advise on consultation requirements, regulatory obligations and engagement methods.
* Manage complex stakeholder issues.
* Improve relationships with community groups and lift awareness of project impacts.
* Promote cross-functional collaboration.
* Support internal teams with engagement capability and guidance.
What you'll need to succeed
* Extensive, proven experience in community engagement and stakeholder management.
* Experience supporting large or sensitive infrastructure projects.
* IAP2 qualification - required
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and delivery focus.
* Tertiary qualification in Communications, Social Sciences, Social Planning, Marketing or similar fields.
* Ability to balance operational and strategic work.
* Experience handling issues management.
