About the Role
An exciting full-time opportunity is now available for a Maintenance Officer to join our team at our Menara Gardens Residential Aged Care home.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as general repairs and grounds upkeep across the site. Your ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors, and suppliers will help create a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment where residents can truly feel at home.
Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, plaster repairs, window and door repairs and minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks
* Conduct routine preventative maintenance across buildings, equipment, and facilities to minimise faults, ensure compliance with aged care standards, and support a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
* Maintain and enhance gardens and outdoor areas through mowing, planting, pruning, and landscaping.
* Ensure outdoor spaces are safe, clean, and visually appealing through regular inspections and upkeep.
* Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, issues, and complaints.
* Uphold a safe environment for residents, visitors, and contractors by adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:
* Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
* Relevant trade qualification or Certificate IV (or equivalent hands-on experience)
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach and ability to work independently
* National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) & NDIS Clearance (if required)
* Evidence of Australian working rights
* Valid Australian driver's licence
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster
* Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
