Our client is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with strong experience in Australian corporate tax, GST, and other direct taxes to support compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
* Prepare corporate income tax and fringe benefits tax (FBT) returns.
* Review and submit monthly BAS.
* Produce monthly reporting outputs for Finance.
* Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and advise management on impacts.
* Complete annual deferred tax reporting.
* Review payroll tax obligations.
* Implement process improvements and automated tax compliance solutions.
* Provide ad hoc tax advice.
* Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to manage audits and resolve any tax-related issues.
About You
* Strong experience in Australian tax compliance, including corporate tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other direct taxes.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic finance environment.
* Experienced in process improvements and automation initiatives.
* Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with internal teams and external advisors.
The successful applicant will have
You will have some exposure in a Tax Accountant role, possessing 1-4 years experience.
