Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Security Advisor to join our Downer Professional Services team, they will play a key role in ensuring compliance against the Defence Industry Security Program. Reporting to our Senior Security Advisor, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* Managing, monitoring, and reporting on the implementation of enterprise security initiatives including the administration and coordination of security clearances.
* Develop, contribute and/or maintain enterprise security documentation, including plans, processes, procedures and internal security controls.
* Manage and maintain the security clearance register and conduct day to day administration of all security clearance requests, change of circumstances, etc.
* Work with client-side security officers on matters relating to Downer staff and their security clearances.
* Assist staff with their security related matters.
What You'll Bring
* A minimum Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) Security Clearance.
* Working knowledge of the Defence Security Principals Framework, Protective Security Policy Framework and Information Security Manual.
* Working knowledge of security requirements within the Defence and National Security industries.
* Experience operating security systems (Access Control, Alarms, CCTV).
* Experience within an Australian Government working environment.
* Experience in the Defence Industry Security Program would be desirable.
