Australian Ecosystems is seeking a motivated Landscape Construction Leading Hand to join our vibrant and growing team. We deliver large-scale landscape construction and ecological restoration projects across civil, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. If you're ready to step up, lead from the front, and work on meaningful projects with purpose, this role is for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take the lead on a variety of landscape construction projects—from parks and wetlands to creek lines and open spaces.
- Manage and mentor a skilled crew, supporting their development while keeping things on track.
- Operate and oversee plant and machinery (excavators, posi-tracks, trucks) with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met.
- Uphold and promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
What You’ll Bring:
- Certificate IV in Landscape Construction or 5+ years of hands-on landscaping experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and get the best out of your team.
- Solid understanding of landscaping construction techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Confidence in reading plans, drawings, and specifications.
- A practical, proactive, and safety-focused mindset.
- Machine tickets and proven operating experience highly regarded
- White Card and Driver’s Licence (MR licence desirable)
