**About the role**:
Rabobank has an opening for an additional 2 x Computer Operators. These roles have arisen to due to the ensure sufficient coverage for all shifts. Based in Sydney & report to the Team Leader, Workplace Technology Services. The team provide IT operational services for Rabobank Australia and New Zealand. This entails supporting the banks 24 x 7 IT operations activities ensuring that end of day banking processes run in accordance with business requirements.
The well-established team complete the following shifts for 24/7 coverage: - morning, afternoon and overnight (some shifts include a weekend day). To optimise work / life balance with these shifts, the team currently work from home full-time.
**What will keep you busy**:
- Executing scheduled IT operations tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Providing 1st level administration support for user accounts
- Ensuring that all work submitted for processing conforms to specified standards
- Performing IT related housekeeping functions and ensure that daily maintenance checks are carried out
- Ensuring proper shift handover is completed accurately and incoming shift are aware of any issues
- Providing after-hours support outside the normal operating hours of the Help Desk. Assisting users with problems with remote equipment or communications
- Providing advice on process improvements
- Participating in projects as required
**What you will bring to the role**:
- 1 years + experience in a computer operations role
- Understanding of end-of-day processing and tape back-up equipment highly regarded
- Exposure to any of the following highly regarded: UNIX Operating Systems; Veeam backup; monitoring tools such as HP OpenView or Elastic
- Exposure to Unix operating system highly regarded
- Prior experience in banking and finance highly regarded
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude to co-ordinate technical resources as required
- Ability to discuss issues with staff and managers to ensure quick resolution of any difficulties.
