About the Role
Floor It Floorcoverings is looking for a motivated, reliable person who wants to get into the flooring trade.
No experience? No problem. If you're hands-on, willing to learn and take pride in your work, we'll teach you the rest.
You'll work alongside experienced installers learning how to install timber floors, vinyl plank, carpet as well as epoxy coatings and polished concrete. This is a great opportunity to build real trade skills that are in high demand across Canberra and surrounding regions.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting with measuring, cutting and installing timber, vinyl plank and carpet.
* preparing and installing epoxy coatings and polished concrete
* Learning how to prepare subfloors for a professional finish
* Working on residential and commercial projects
* Helping maintain a safe and organised work environment
* Gaining hands-on training from experienced tradesmen
* Working as part of a team to complete projects on time and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
You don't need experience — but you do need:
* A strong work ethic
* Willingness to learn and listen
* Good attention to detail
* Physical fitness (this is hands-on work)
* A positive attitude and reliability
* White Card
* Asbestos awareness
* Silica
* Driver's licence and own transport.
If you've worked in construction, labouring, landscaping, or similar trades — that's a bonus, but not essential.
