About the role
Lighthouse Christian College – Keysborough is seeking a passionate and qualified VCE English Teacher to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is based in Keysborough, VIC 3173, and offers the opportunity to play a vital part in shaping the education and development of our secondary students.
What you'll be doing
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective VCE English lessons to secondary students
* Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their learning and growth
* Actively participate in curriculum development and implementation
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods
* Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities
* Undertake other duties as required to support the overall functioning of the college
What we're looking for
* A Bachelor of Education or a postgraduate teaching degree (Master of Teaching)
* A current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
* 5 Years of demonstrated teaching experience with a minimum of 3 Years VCE English experience is essential. Experience in VCE English marking will be an advantage.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate English concepts
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
* Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
