* Senior Executive Band 1 role. TRP from $218K to $243K including superannuation

Crown Lands and Public Spaces is seeking internal expressions of interest cross-sector to appoint a Director Office of the Deputy Secretary for an initial six-month period with the possibility of further extension.

About Crown Lands and Public Spaces
Crown Lands and Public Spaces plays a unique role in the liveability and sustainability of communities across NSW. The Group is responsible for some of the state's most significant public lands and assets – from iconic parklands and coastal areas, to cultural sites, recreational spaces, Crown land reserves, botanic gardens and community places. We manage more than 34 million hectares of Crown land across the state, the Greater Sydney Parklands, the Botanic Gardens of Sydney and harbourside precincts under the stewardship of Placemaking NSW. About the Role
As the Director Office of the Deputy Secretary, you will provide high-level policy, planning, operational and advisory support to the Deputy Secretary Crown Lands and Public Spaces. As a trusted partner to the Deputy Secretary, you will oversee the coordination of corporate planning, executive, Ministerial and Parliamentary support, financial and performance reporting, communications, and reform initiatives.

You will also shape and guide the Group's strategic direction by ensuring integrated business planning, effective priority management, and the timely progression of high-impact projects and initiatives that directly influence public land and asset management, community outcomes, and the stewardship of some of NSW's most significant places.

A critical part of your remit will be leading and enabling a high-performing team that delivers best-practice corporate and executive services. You will act as a key liaison with the Office of the Secretary, Ministerial Offices, central agencies and senior executives, ensuring the Deputy Secretary is informed, supported and positioned to make strategic decisions that advance organisational and public value.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Proven experience providing strategic, operational and advisory support to senior executives.
* A track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering cross-organisational initiatives that drive measurable outcomes.
* Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
* Exceptional communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A strong grasp of strategic governance and corporate operations, with the ability to navigate sensitive and high-stakes issues.
