We are seeking a Graduate Podiatrist to work in a remote Aboriginal community in Central Australia. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering culturally-responsive podiatry services.
The key responsibilities include supporting clients with diabetes-related foot complications and other lower limb pathology, practicing within scope and receiving ongoing supervision from Senior Podiatrists.
The role involves working across various primary health programs, including Chronic Conditions, Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and Medicare.
Regular overnight travel to remote communities is required. To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Podiatry or equivalent tertiary qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You should also hold a current first-aid and CPR Certificate in accordance with AHPRA registration or be willing to obtain one.
Desirable skills include knowledge of community-based podiatry service delivery, understanding of working with a broad range of clients from varying socioeconomic backgrounds, and experience working in remote Aboriginal communities.
