We are seeking **either** a qualified and experienced Water Treatment Plant Operator or an Assistant Water Treatment Plant Operator with a passion for public health and protecting our environment. We welcome dedicated people that want to learn and work in a supportive team environment.
The Assistant Water Treatment Plant Operator will undertake a planned and supported pathway to obtain qualifications and competence in this stimulating and rewarding role and involves the completion of on-the-job training and tertiary studies (a Certificate III in Water Operations). Course fees will be funded by Council.
The Water Treatment Plant Operator position will work with a committed team to operate, maintain and monitor Councils water catchment and treatment infrastructure including Clarrie Hall Dam, weirs and water treatment plants.
The position is suitable to those who enjoy a diversity of work in both outdoor and office environments combining computer based and active work activities.

- Operator - WTPO: Salary base salary ranging from $1,282.38 per week with competency-based increments up to $1,505.56 per week, plus 10.5% super.
- Assistant - AWTPO: Salary base salary ranging from $1,068.32 per week with competency-based increments up to $1,224.01 per week, plus 10.5% super.
- 76 hour, 9 day fortnight.

- Basic understanding of the function of a Water Treatment Plant.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of SCADA systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment.

- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly and independently on tasks.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
