RESPONSIBILITES
Reporting to the Group CIO, this role is perfect for a people-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is adept at balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day project execution. Broader responsibilities will include:
o PMO Leadership: Oversee the IT PMO, ensuring efficient and effective project management practices across the organisation.
o Project Portfolio Management: Facilitate the project request, assessment and governance processes and provide proactive services such as interdependency management, resource capacity management and financial control.
o Operational Improvements: Continually assess and improve the PMO operating model, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery.
o Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
o Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
o Team Empowerment: Foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship and professional growth within the team.
o Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain project metrics, reports and dashboards to provide transparency and insights into project performance and PMO effectiveness.
ABOUT YOU
With a passion for providing excellence in IT project management, we're looking for the very best, and an individual demonstrating.
o Proven experience as an IT PMO Manager.
o A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
o A strong background in project management, with hands on experience and willingness to manage enterprise level IT projects.
o PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is strongly desired
o High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
o A natural ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
o Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
o A preference for industry expertise encompassing retail, manufacturing and/or logistics realms.
