Position Details
1. Position Title: Support Worker
2. Location: Mt Isa Recovery Services Centre
3. Employment Type: Casual
4. Working Hours: Various shifts available, including:
* Mon-Fri Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:06pm
* Mon-Fri Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:06am
* Weekends: 7:00am - 3:06pm, 3:00pm - 11:06pm, 11:00pm - 7:06am
Classification: SCHADS Award – Social and Community Services, Level 3.1
Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Casual Support Workers to join our team at the Mt Isa Recovery Centre. In this role, you will provide person-centred support in a safe environment, aligned with The Salvation Army's recovery-based service model.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive relationships with participants, encouraging self-determination and recovery involvement.
* Assess risks and communicate mitigation strategies.
* Assist with daily tasks, including cleaning, room prep, and transportation.
* Maintain accurate records according to TSA policies.
* Report risks promptly to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant Certificate-level qualification and/or experience; Diploma considered.
* Current First Aid Certificate (preferred).
* Valid Driver's Licence.
* WWCC – Blue Card.
