Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Acting as the key back-up to the Payroll Coordinator, you will help maintain compliance with legislation, internal policies, and enterprise agreement conditions while delivering outstanding service to employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing, including liaising with the external provider.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring data integrity, and managing compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Responding to employee queries regarding pay, leave, deductions, and supporting payroll-related onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Supporting payroll reconciliations, reporting, and audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contributing to payroll process improvements and providing general administrative support to the People & Capability team.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration and familiarity with payroll systems (e.g.: SAP, ADP, Aurion etc) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Understanding of enterprise agreements or awards, and employment legislation.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support employees and stakeholders.
Salary and Enquiries
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021, Band 2 $62,475 - $72,897 + Superannuation. The salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
