We are currently seeking qualified Cooks to join early learning centres across Perth and surrounding areas. If you have a passion for preparing healthy meals and creating a positive food experience for young children, we want to hear from you.
THE ROLE
As a Centre Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious and allergy-aware meals for children aged 0-5, following centre-specific menus and food safety standards. You'll also manage kitchen hygiene and ensure compliance with relevant health regulations.
Your daily tasks will include:
Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children
Following food safety and allergy management procedures
Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and compliance with Food Safety Standards
Catering for dietary restrictions and cultural preferences
Ordering and managing stock levels within budget
Supporting a welcoming and positive mealtime culture in the centre
ABOUT YOU
You're organised, passionate about child nutrition, and understand the importance of safe and enjoyable food experiences in a child's early development.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant qualification
Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate
Knowledge of children's nutrition and dietary requirements
Working With Children Check (WA)
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Certificates
Understanding of Food Safety Standards (including HACCP procedures)
Experience working in early childhood or school-based environments
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Positive attitude, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset

Hourly Rates in line with the WA Cleaning Services Award (plus Super)
Flexible Shifts – Day, Evening, and Weekend options available
Locations: Seville Grove, Coogee both SOR
