We specialise in vegetation and wildlife surveys, ecological monitoring, conservation planning, and strategic project advice.We're looking for a new team member with ecological experience who’s ready to step into a role that blends fieldwork, reporting, strategy, and project coordination.We're a close-knit team of 10, led by a consulting ecologist with over 20 years' experience. Most of us work remotely, but we stay well connected via Microsoft Teams and regular field trips. Our Brisbane office (inner south) is available for those who prefer a hybrid setup.We value flexibility, open communication, and a supportive work environment where professional growth is encouraged. Whether you bring a strong technical background, great project management skills, or a knack for systems thinking — you'll be in good company. About the RoleThis role is ideal for someone who combines ecological knowledge with attention to detail and confidence in coordinating projects and people. Fieldwork is a key part of the job (typically a few days at a time), with all hours paid — including travel.We’re particularly interested in candidates who:Communicate clearly and professionallyTake initiative and ownershipAre looking to grow in both technical and strategic capacitiesStrong project coordination skills — including client communication, delegation, and timeline managementUnderstanding of QLD, NSW, and Commonwealth ecological legislation and associated reporting/survey requirementsAbility to understand both client and regulator perspectivesBotanical or ecological survey skills (fauna experience not essential, but collaboration is welcome)GIS proficiency for data processing and map preparationProfessional report writing and Microsoft Word/Excel skillsStrong safety awareness in fieldwork settings Qualifications & RequirementsDegree in ecology, environmental science, conservation planning, or similarMinimum 5 years’ experience in an ecological roleMinimum 2 years’ project management experienceIf this sounds like a fit, we’d love to hear from you.
