Next-Gen Network Planner (Telecommunication & Electrical Systems)
We are seeking an experienced Network Planner who will contribute to the delivery of future-ready network infrastructure and high-performance customer access networks.
With a strong background in Electrical and Network planning, this role ensures the successful delivery of network installation across residential and commercial premises across regional NSW.

Task & responsibilities
Install and configure Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), Network Termination Device (NTD), and Premises Connection Device (PCD) at customer premises (residential and commercial).
Establish delivery and installation schedules for switchgear, cables, and electrical fittings.
Coordinate GPON infrastructure (splitters, fibre runs, and access points) and SMP (Splitter Modules/Distribution Points) in fibre networks.
Use statistical tools and network performance tests such as PET, MLT, SELT, TDR, and PON Meter Tests, and conduct open/short circuit diagnostics.
Determine the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines, and other electrical equipment to meet operational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic telecommunication networks and systems.
Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components and monitor ongoing site performance to ensure reliability.
Ensure all installations, configurations, and modifications comply with relevant electrical and telecommunications standards and regulations.
Apply new and existing technologies to enhance network infrastructure and service delivery across multiple deployment projects.
Support project planning, task allocation, and timely project delivery within defined budgets and technical specifications.
Promote and adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental policies, maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace.
Qualification & experience
Qualification in Telecommunications/Electrical or Network Planning.
Strong knowledge of ATS design, network infrastructure, and electrical design.
Proficient in electrical wiring, troubleshooting electrical and communication systems.
Excellent project coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of industry standards, WHS, and compliance practices.
