Northeast Auto group Burton is looking for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team. You will operate, set up, and program CNC press brake machines to produce precise, high‐quality metal components safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and thrive in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Fabrication
* Setup, program, and operate CNC press brake (DELEM)
* Selectand install correct tooling, punches, and dies.
* Adjustback gauges, bend allowances, and machine parameters.
* Performquality checks to ensure production accuracy and compliance with drawings.
* Maintainhigh standards of accuracy and consistency in all produced components.
Quality & Safety
* Readand interpret fabrication/engineering drawings and technicalspecifications.
* Inspectparts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
* Followworkplace safety procedures and machine operating guidelines.
* Reportmachine faults or potential safety risks immediately.
Productivity & Workflow
* Workefficiently to meet production deadlines and daily output targets.
* Assistwith workflow planning and continuous improvement activities.
* Coordinatewith team members to maintain smooth production processes.
Maintenance
* Conductbasic daily/weekly machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, checks).
* Reportmaintenance needs to supervisors or maintenance technicians.
Essential skills
* Demonstratedexperience operating CNC press brake machinery.
* Strongunderstanding of sheet metal fabrication principles.
* Abilityto read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experienceselecting tooling and performing machine setup.
* Competentwith precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, anglegauges).
* Strongattention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Abilityto work independently and in a team.
* Goodcommunication and problem‐solving skills.
* Forkliftlicence or overhead crane experience.
* Tradequalification in metal fabrication or related field.
* Experiencein continuous improvement (5S, lean manufacturing).
* Abilityto work rotating shifts (if applicable).
Physical Requirements
* Abilityto stand for long periods.
* Abilityto lift components up to 20–25 kg safely.
* Goodmanual dexterity and vision for quality inspection.
