About the Role

We are seeking volunteers to provide transport services to older and vulnerable people who have no means of getting to non-urgent medical appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide door-to-door transport service to clients, helping them to achieve better health outcomes, maintain independence, and stay living in their own home for longer.
">
* Use Red Cross vehicles to transport up to three clients at once to health appointments both locally and regionally.
">
* Be comfortable using phone/tablets and be able to learn the app-based transport management system.
">
* Lift up to 15kgs to assist clients with mobility aides.
">
">
Requirements:
">
">
* A current full Australian driver's licence or equivalent.
">
* An excellent driving record.
">
* The ability to relate to and empathise with a broad range of older people, including those with different lived experiences, abilities, and cultures.
">
* Comfortable working with technology and willing to learn new systems.
