About the opportunity
We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator for our Tynong site.
This fulfilling and challenging role is key to efficient operations of the site and responsibilities in the role will include the operation of the Quarry Weighbridge involving ticketing and despatch of customer trucks as well as office administration support including purchase requisitions, general admin duties and office organisation.
Further and detailed responsibilities will include:
* Raising purchase order requisitions in line with Procurement Policy.
* Reviewing workflows and Purchasing reports for timely payment for suppliers.
* Data entry into SAP.
* General office administration.
* Reconciliation of contractor hours.
* Sales quotes for Account Managers.
* Issuing tickets of quarry loads using the G Tick weighbridge system.
* Maintaining a weighbridge database including truck tare register, product lists, prices etc.
* Actioning quarry sales orders.
* Liaising with customers on product and pricing queries.
* Ensuring quarry visitor, security and traffic control systems are adhered to.
* Ensuring all dockets, cartage adjustments and cartage special entries are entered accurately.
* Ensuring that the quarry weighbridge computer systems are well maintained and operating effectively.
* Ensuring regular inspection and cleaning of weighbridge decks and below weighbridge decks.
About you
* Office administration support experience.
* Experience on a quarry weighbridge is an advantage.
* Experience in operation of machinery and relevant tickets is preferred but not essential.
* You must have strong attention to detail.
* You must be flexible and willing to work across all facets of quarry activities.
* You must be prepared to work overtime.
* Personable, polite and courteous with customers.
