About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of professionals in the maintenance and operation of water infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of water management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage operational resources, equipment, and contractors to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of maintenance programs.
* Develop and implement best management practices for the operation and maintenance of water supply infrastructure.
* Review and report on maintenance and services delivery, facilities management, and other activities using corporate information systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and the public while protecting the environment. They will also contribute to the knowledge sharing and ongoing development and upskilling of staff/teams' knowledge across the cluster to deliver quality and cost-effective maintenance services.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering or extensive trade/operational experience in the maintenance of water infrastructure.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence.
* Demonstrated expertise in the operation and maintenance of water infrastructure.
* Demonstrated experience in prioritising, planning, and allocating operational resources.
* Supervisory experience with ability to provide leadership, develop teamwork, and training to continually improve operational performance.
* Knowledge of WH&S Management Systems and legislation.
