The Opportunity
Fire System Testing Technician – focused on monthly and annual compliance testing.
Service & Maintenance Fire Technician – focused on repairs, servicing, and system upkeep.
Carry out monthly and annual compliance testing on fire systems in line with Australian Standards.
Inspect and test fire equipment including extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, alarms, and emergency/exit lighting.
Identify, record, and report defects found during testing.
Complete accurate test sheets, compliance reports, and asset records.
Communicate clearly with clients on-site regarding findings and follow-up work.
Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally.
Role 2: Service & Maintenance Fire Technician
Key Duties
Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on fire systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and fault-find fire detection, warning systems, and other fire protection assets.
Complete minor installations, upgrades, and component replacements.
Respond to service requests, breakdowns, and corrective maintenance needs.
Document all work performed and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Provide friendly, reliable customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
Selection Criteria
Current WA Electrical Licence (preferred but not essential)
Experience working as a fire service technician
Australian Cablers Licence (OPEN) (preferred but not essential)
Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (preferred but not essential)
Driver's licence (c class)
Construction White Card
Able to undergo pre-employment medical and police check
Sound knowledge of the applicable industry standards, compliance and regulations
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
