Overview
This Urban team is known for leading delivery on award winning, high-quality projects, that prioritise sustainability and challenge conventional engineering approaches. Building on their expertise in diverse materials and sectors (commercial, education, healthcare, residential), and serving a vast range of clients from contractors to public sector - their team is expanding. This role would suit an experienced structural engineer with the capability (or ambitions) of leading expansive and complex projects, whilst mentoring a small team of designers and reporting to the Director, in a collaborative environment, with a flexible office arrangement and impactful Brisbane projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead technical solutions on urban projects with senior collaboration.
* Oversee calculations, complex modeling, sketches, reports, and documentation reviews.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, lead meetings, and perform site inspections.
* Lead project management elements, mentor junior engineers, and drive business development through bids and proposals.
* Apply Australian standards and proficiency with concrete, structural steel, masonry, and timber structures.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree;
* Minimum 7 years in structural building design/engineering (within Australia or NZ)
* Experience mentoring juniors and leading project delivery.
* Excellent client engagement and full-cycle design proficiency (concept to detailed).
