Health Science Hub (RTO is looking for a new team member who is interested in working in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector.
We can only consider applicants with:
* A Diploma of Nursing or an Undergraduate degree in Nursing, Human Biology, Allied Health or similar.
* A minimum of 1 year experience working in health care.
You may be a secondary school teacher who wants a change of scenery or someone who has worked in a health science-related field (eg, nursing, paramedic, or allied health) and is looking at moving into an education-type role. The role involves facilitating a class of High School students (16 to 18-year-olds) human biology and disease processes, so the right candidate must be able to work effectively with this age group. The qualification that you will be training is 52895WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies.
We have additional classes being run, so we are looking for additional trainers on Thursdays and/or Fridays during school terms 1, 2 & 3.
An advantage would be for applicants to already have their Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (TAE However, we would be willing to train the right person to attain this qualification over time. On-the-job training and co-facilitation are provided for new staff.
The right candidate will have the following abilities:
* Be comfortable in front of students and display the confidence to explain and deliver the required content.
* Be interested and able to work with 16 to 18-year-old students.
* Work with a team as well as autonomously.
* Communicate through online group chats.
* Manage change and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Be able to work with anatomy dissections.
* Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
Have the ability to use technology in the classroom. This includes:
* Learning Management System (LMS)
* eLearning and online assessment.
* Tablets, Laptops, and AV display devices.
* Various apps.
The position requires you to be capable and confident in using your experience, skills and education to deliver modules of training across topics from a Human Biology perspective, including:
* Anatomy & Physiology.
* Medical Terminology.
* Academic Communication, Including referencing.
* Microbiology, Chemistry.
* Body Systems (nervous, respiratory, digestive, muscular/skeletal, etc)
