About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team. We are a busy mixed animal veterinary hospital on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, a hugely desirable place to work and live. The successful applicant will be joining a team of 7 veterinarians, 10 nurses, 3 Client Care Experts and our administrators. You would be working a 38 hour week on average, with some Saturday work required. As we operate a 24 hour emergency service, you may also be required to assist our veterinarians on call from time to time.
To be considered for the position, you must possess a minimum Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology ( or equivalent).
The successful candidate's key responsibilities will include:
-surgical and medical nursing including proficiency with diagnostic imaging and dentistry techniques
-monitoring of anaesthesia
-admissions and discharges of surgical patients
-maintenance of technical equipment and instrumentation
-nurse consultations
-liasing between veterinarians and clients
-meticulous attention to detail and great communication skills
-ability to work well in a cohesive team environment
