An opportunity has become available for a Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest - Gynaecology and Pain Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
About the role
Provide clinical specialist Gynaecology and Pain Medicine support to the Women, Newborn and Children's service, making a substantial contribution to the development of a culture of medical education and safe, effective patient centered clinical practice.
This role is integrated into the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Interdisciplinary Clinical Service (EPPICS).
The purpose of the role of the General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPwSI) within EPPICS is dual: service delivery for people living with Endometriosis and Persistent Pelvic Pain and exposure to the learning opportunities provided by a tertiary hospital interdisciplinary team.
Requirements for the role
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
* Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
* MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FRACGP or FACRRM or equivalent acceptable to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and registrable as a General Practice specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Certified copies of relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* While not mandatory, being a current practicing General Practitioner with extensive local health knowledge would be well regarded.
* While not mandatory, training, qualifications and experience in Gynaecology would be well regarded.
Salary information
* Permanent part time (32 hours per fortnight)
* Estimated total remuneration up to $135,203 p.a., comprising:
o Senior Medical Officer - Senior Status: Base hourly rate from $103.80 p.h
o Senior Medical Officer: Base hourly rate from $89.87 - $101.12 p.h
* Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
