We are looking for a passionate and hardworking **Civil Construction Supervisor** to join our team at Singleton Council. In this role, you'll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

**THE ROLE**
The Infrastructure Services and Civil Operations team is all about infrastructure in the community, delivering works projects and road maintenance activities in the most cost effective and efficient manner whilst meeting the needs and expectations of the community. The Civil Construction Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Council's civil construction staff and the allocation of resources for undertaking infrastructure construction works.
**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Provide timely, constructive input into decision making and problem solving of works issues
- Attend emergency callouts, including out of hours
- Ensure timely and regular updates regarding project and work status, resources, risks, staffing matters and the like, are provided to the Coordinator Civil Operations
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of information and communication technology as it relates to the efficient and effective functioning of the section
- Supervise the delivery of civil construction and maintenance works, projects and programs in accordance with approved plans and specifications, legislation, budget, resources and staffing allocations
- Ensure records are kept in accordance with Council's policies and relevant legislation with respect to WHS, contractors, plant, timesheets and the like
- Lead, support and coach staff in undertaking the work and projects of the section
- Champion a safe and healthy workplace and fair and equitable work practices
- Solid experience in roads (sealed & unsealed) construction and maintenance practise
This position is offered on a **permanent fulltime** basis working **35** hours per week. Singleton Council is committed to flexibility which can include condensed hours, part time arrangements and working from home.
Remuneration for this position is based on **Grade 12** of the salary system which equates to a base salary between **$83,384.08 - $93,795.52 **per annum plus superannuation. This position includes the benefit of **commuter use of a fit for purpose vehicle.**
