The role
In this role you will demonstrate excellence in client service in the delivery of all catering requirements, ensuring a seamless delivery of service for all meetings and client events. You will ensure the service expectations of internal and external clients consistently meet the recognised service level standard.
This is a full time permanent opportunity. Depending on the needs of the team and the firm, there may be opportunities for additional overtime.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a high standard of food and beverage service and setting for events/meetings in a prompt, skilled and friendly manner. This includes a variety of services including coffee service, breakfasts, lunches, cocktail parties, dinners and other VIP functions
- Working the occasional morning or evening functions
- Responsible for meeting rooms to be ready for service
- The opening or closing of the client floor, ensuring all is complete for operations
- Cover reception responsibilities if required
- Other tasks as requested by the Catering Manager or Supervisor
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- 1-2 years' experience in a hospitality environment (boardroom experience highly desirable)
- Excellent customer service skills
- A high level of organisational skills
- Experience as a barista or very good coffee skills
- Impeccable grooming standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Flexible in working hours when required
- Knowledge of table setting, especially in a fine dining environment (highly desirable)
