Sunpork is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Piggery Attendant at our Wasleys, SA full-time permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the farming industry. As a Piggery Attendant, you will be responsible for the following main tasks:

* Providing daily care and management of pigs, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and welfare.
* Assisting with the breeding and farrowing processes, ensuring the wellbeing of sows and piglets.
* Undertaking general maintenance and cleaning of piggery facilities to uphold high standards of hygiene and biosecurity.
* Observing and reporting any signs of illness or injury in pigs, taking appropriate action as necessary.
* Assisting with record-keeping related to pig movements, treatments, and general activities within the piggery.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in animal welfare. Previous experience in a similar role within the farming industry would be advantageous. * Experience in animal husbandry and livestock management
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures for feeding, handling, and maintaining the health of pigs
* Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance
* Capability to identify signs of illness or distress in pigs and take appropriate action
* Understanding of biosecurity protocols and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
