About the role The Employee Relations (ER) Manager will lead an advisory team in the provision of expert, business focused advice, guidance, and support. In addition, the role will lead CPA's employee relations function and provide support in industrial relations matters. The ER Manager will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a range of people-related initiatives that enhance the employee experience and make CPA a great place to work. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and from our office. Duties include: Develop an effective ER strategy / roadmap to ensure that CPA is compliant with employment laws and regulations Lead the advisory team, ensuring they are equipped to effectively support leaders with a wide range of people matters Provide expertise, guidance and coaching to managers to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, to resolve complex ER matters and to mitigate risks to the organisation Engage and partner with CPA's appointed lawyers to assist with complex people matters as needed Coach and mentor managers to build strong people management capability in line with the CPA's culture, practices, and strategic plan Oversee the remuneration benchmarking process for CPA job roles using AON and other benchmarking sources Implement development strategies to ensure that the advisory team is equipped with the knowledge and skills required to perform their role and effectively support the business Partner with the CPO, Business Partners and external lawyers to prepare for the renewal of CPA's Enterprise Agreements Partner with the Business Partner and other P&C team members on the delivery of people related projects About you: Extensive experience in the field of Human Resources, working autonomously at a senior level Relevant Bachelor's Degree or Higher Post Graduate studies in a relevant field (Human Resources, Employee Relations, Business, Law, Commerce) Strong leadership capability, able to coach mentor and engage a high performing team Ideally experience in a range of service delivery/operational sectors would be demonstrable Demonstrated experience managing multiple major projects at once Demonstrated experience in influencing and working collaboratively with employees at all levels across CPA Up to date knowledge on relevant employment legislation Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal working with a high level of attention to detail Working for CPA offers you exceptional remuneration & benefits: Access to a tax-free meal, entertainment & venue benefit card valued at $2,650 per year Flexible ways of working - compressed hours, working from home options, flexibility surrounding hours 12 weeks paid parental leave and 2 weeks paid partner leave 3 additional leave days each year (conditions apply) $100 per year well-being allowance that you can use to enhance your wellbeing (eg: purchase sports equipment, have a massage, take a meditation class, the choice is yours) Discounted gym membership for you and your family, using Fitness Passport Employee Assistance Program Important information: At CPA the safety of our staff and clients is of paramount importance.
