The Opportunity

You will be part of the team supporting students engaged in modular learning.
Are you passionate about empowering students to thrive in their academic journey and beyond? We're looking for a dedicated Student Success Coach to guide diverse cohorts of students throughout their journey at The College.
In this role you will:
* Provide tailored one-on-one and group coaching that integrates pastoral care, academic support, and career guidance.
* Help students navigate challenges and celebrate their achievements.
* Monitor student progress and identify opportunities to improve retention and overall success.
* Contribute to the implementation of the Student Success Framework.
* Shape strategies that build belonging, inclusion, and connection across campus.
* Work closely with academic and professional staff to resolve complex student issues.
* Advocate for student needs across key areas of the university.
* Support the integration of the coaching model into curriculum and teaching practices.

* Equipped with a relevant undergraduate qualification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Someone who understands the impact of coaching and mentoring on student engagement and wellbeing.
* Confident applying student engagement and career development theories within a tertiary environment.
* Deeply aware of the challenges experienced by students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds.
* A thoughtful, solution‑focused professional who can assess complex situations and deliver practical, student‑centred outcomes.
* An excellent communicator with a clear, compassionate style that builds trust and connection.
* Skilled at managing sensitive information and navigating conflict with professionalism and care.
* Able to form strong, collaborative relationships across academic and professional teams.

The location
This position will be based at The College's Kingswood campus, although travel to other campuses will be required. This position is not available in a fully remote format.
Remuneration Package: Professional Staff Level 6 $104,055 p.a. (comprising Salary of $91,536 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
