About The Role
Our Commercial team is looking for an Account Manager who can forge strong business relationships with key stakeholders and help drive our success in Townsville. The role is focused on existing customers within Builders and Trades while developing new relationships in the region. Reporting directly to the Regional Business Manager for Northern QLD, the successful candidate will develop strategies and plans to target growth opportunities, re‐engage existing customers, and collaborate with the Bunnings team to deliver the best price, range, and service.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans for existing and new customers within Builders and Trades.
* Identify growth opportunities and build strategic insights to address local opportunities and competitor activities.
* Engage with various companies in Townsville, including cold‐calling and client visits.
* Manage a budget aligned to company expectations.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to deliver optimal solutions for customers.
* Maintain integrity, respect, and teamwork in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
* Experience as a sales professional in a commercial or building industry.
* Knowledge of the building and construction industry and confidence in cold‐calling and client visits.
* Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive results.
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills.
