FIFO Senior Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Works Safety Officer
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Daily and non-routine aerodrome inspections, compliant with aviation regulations
* Aerodrome Reporting Officer duties, including oversight of remedial works
* Issuing NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen)
* Coordinating flight line activities: marshalling, refuelling, fuel quality control, baggage handling, passenger control, traffic scheduling
* Terminal operations: check-in, radio calls, manifests, load sheets, crew liaison
* Coordinating with airlines (Qantas, QantasLink, Skippers, Alliance, RFDS)
* Maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
* Performing routine maintenance tasks: line marking, mowing, slashing, pruning, minor fence repairs
* Conducting Ground Support Equipment checks and reporting maintenance needs
* Ensuring cleanliness across terminal and support areas
* Preparing regular reports for airlines and fuel suppliers
* Delivering inductions for staff, contractors, visitors
* Maintaining awareness of dangerous goods and aviation security
* Planning daily operations, coordinating staff, preparing rosters
* Supporting the Airport Manager and engaging with client representatives
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years experience as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer
* Airline ground handling experience (Qantas, QantasLink, Skippers, Alliance) including 737, A320 & F100 operations
* Aerodrome Dangerous Goods Awareness and AROCWA C-Class license
* Ability to work on an 8&6 roster
* Full working rights in Australia
* Police clearance (not older than 12 months)
* Ability to undergo pre-employment medical clearance and drug/alcohol screening
