About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Sales Assistant to join our dynamic Aussie Fare Caterers' team in Edinburgh, SA. As a casual employee, you will play a key role in supporting our kitchen operations and providing exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
* Food preparation for Mobile Lunch Vans and business catering orders
* All kitchen duties, ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, sanitised and well-organised
* Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service
* Sales Assistant in busy fast-food shop
* Stock ordering and management
* Following all food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain the highest standards
* Supporting the mobile lunch van team as needed to deliver exceptional service to our clients
* Managing customer enquiries and catering orders
* Food delivery of catering orders (Police clearance required for Government clients)
What we're looking for
* Experience preferred but not essential
* Previous experience in a hospitality or catering environment preferably as a Kitchen Hand or Sales Assistant
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
* Good attention to detail and able to follow instructions and procedures
* Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
* Enthusiasm, flexibility and a willingness to learn
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Fast, efficient and showing initiative
* Will need a Police clearance check to deliver to our Government Defence clients
* Available for all operating hours Monday to Friday - spread of hours 6.00AM to 2.30PM
