The Opportunity

As part of the Client Partnerships team within the Real Estate Credit division of La Trobe Financial, you will be responsible for the workshopping of transactions submitted by Brokers and Senior Managers Client Partnerships. This includes reviewing scenarios in accordance with La Trobe Financial appetite and lending policies.

Additionally, you will support the sales team in generation of new originations. You will be required to adhere to all La Trobe Financial policies, processes and compliance & administrative requirements; such as loading new broker accreditations, broker system updates, resetting broker passwords & completing broker commission enquiries.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate in commerce, finance or a related discipline who is looking to kick‑start their career in lending. You will benefit from a comprehensive training program, with significant opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

* Assessment of individual, company, trust and SMSF loan Scenarios
* Demonstrating due diligence and attention to detail; reviewing and extracting information from documentation, such as income & financial statements, trust deeds and identification documents, to confirm creditworthiness
* Working closely with Brokers, SMCP, Credit Analysts, Team Leaders and Credit Managers to workshop scenarios
* Managing credit risk, and ensuring all credit policy and guidelines are maintained and applied to appropriate decisions
* Articulating and communicating (both written and via phone) credit decisions or workshops to various stakeholders
* Providing outstanding and professional customer service to our referral partners, customers and internal stakeholders
* Providing insights and suggestions for possible process and operational improvements
* Maintaining and keeping up to date with Latrobe Financials current security appetite

About You

* A recent graduate in commerce, finance or a related discipline
* Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A fluid approach to negotiating, decision making and relationship building
* Ability to work both autonomously and in a team, in a high-pressure work environment
