Overview
Restaurant Manager – Manjimup, WA (Tall Timbers Manjimup Pty Ltd t/a Tall Timbers Manjimup). Full-time, 38 hours per week, regional WA. Salary: $75,915 before tax plus super annually.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate all daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, smooth workflow, consistently high standard of presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience from opening through closing.
* Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, providing ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and leadership to maintain a motivated and productive team.
* Manage the full dining experience by welcoming guests, handling reservations, assisting with service when required, and actively gathering customer feedback to continuously improve food quality and service standards.
* Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to design and update menus, monitor food and beverage preparation, and ensure consistency, quality control, and appealing presentation aligned with business standards.
* Plan and coordinate special functions, events, and catering services, ensuring all operational, staffing, and customer requirements are met to a high standard.
* Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and manage purchasing of food, beverages, and supplies, controlling costs, minimizing waste, and ensuring availability of all operational necessities.
* Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, pricing strategies, cost control, cash handling, point-of-sale reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial and inventory records to support business performance.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely and cost‐effective delivery of goods and services.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations by maintaining clean, safe, and well‐maintained facilities, enforcing procedures, and keeping documentation current and audit‐ready.
Requirements
* Relevant Diploma in hospitality or equivalent, with one year full‐time experience, or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in a full‐service dining environment.
* Strong communication, team building, delegation, organization, time‐management, problem‐solving, decision‐making, performance management, conflict resolution, customer focus, and interpersonal skills.
